In His Own Words
Today I’m announcing my campaign for Grand Captain of the Guard of the Supreme Council, Mystic Order of Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm. I’m doing this with the full support of my wife, Therese Olegario, my two kids, Mikee and Josh, and my Grotto, Bendemeer.
I love the Grotto. It’s given me so many great memories over the years, and the camaraderie and the service we do for these children is unmatched. The reason I’m running is to protect that.
Every Grotto has their problems, and almost none of them are theirs alone. Same membership struggles, same trouble keeping younger Prophets, same questions about money. The problem isn’t that we don’t have solutions. It’s that we’re too disconnected to share them.
I think I can help with that. After years in leadership across this fraternity, the one lesson that’s held up every time is that we’re stronger united than we ever are alone. That’s where I want to come in. Show up at the Grottoes, listen, and bring the ones facing the same struggles together, so a Grotto that already beat a problem can show the ones still fighting it. That’s the kind of work the Supreme Council should be doing, not just making those conversations happen but being active in them, and getting the good solutions documented so they’re there for the next Grotto that needs them.
All of this keeps the Grotto strong, and that matters beyond just us. We Prophets say the Grotto is a Master Mason’s playground, but the playground needs Master Masons in it. When our Grottoes are strong, Masonry is stronger, and strong Masonry sends more Prophets our way. You can’t take care of one without taking care of the other.
So here’s what I promise to do. I’m going to show up, unify us, and make it last.
